How to be born again
There is only one way to be saved; believe in Jesus Christ. All you need to do is ask God from your heart, in truth. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6
This is the good news in three verses:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (Joh 3:16-18)
It’s very simple really: confess, repent, and obey. That is faith in a “mustard seed.”
Admit you are a sinner. (Confess)
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Rom 3:23)
“There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
(Rom. 3 10-12)
Be willing to turn from sin. (repent).
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1Jn 1:8-9)
“And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.” (Act 17:30-31)
Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried and rose from the dead. (Obedience)
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (11) For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. (Rom 10:9-11)
Ask the Lord Jesus into your life to become your personal Savior.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Rom 10:13)
